LEARN TO SKI CLINICS - OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY JULY 19TH AND AUGUST 2nd, 2014 (8-12 pm)
The Carolina Show Ski Team is a competitive, entertaining, family oriented team that performs water ski shows through out the summer at Windjammer Park and other events around the Carolinas. We practice, perform weekly ski shows, compete in Regional and National Tournaments, and give back to our community.
Our weekly practices (Monday and Thursday night typically) from 5:45 pm til dark. Our WEEKLY SKI SHOWS start at 7:00 p.m. every Friday from June through Mid-August (Please check our schedule tab for specific dates....we will NOT have a home show on Friday, June 27th, as we will be at the Southern Regional Tournament).
For the 2014 Season, we will be hosting several community clinics, in addition to our weekly ski show performances. We collect donations at our ski performances and 100% of our proceeds go directly to the team/team activities and help us continue our mission.
If you'd like to be a Carolina Show Ski Team supporter, we need your help! Have your name featured in our color program book (distributed at all performances), on our equipment, featured on a boat/trailer, or even announced in our ski show!
To find out more about sponsorship opportunities, please contact Tammy LaValley at firstname.lastname@example.org (803-431-3920) or Justin Landers at (704) 572-9174.
TOGETHER WE CAN DO GREAT THINGS!
On May 22, the Carolina Show Ski Team built (yes - built!!) and donated a 20 x 40 foot performance platform / dock (cost estimated at over $30,000)to the City of Tega Cay and the citizens of York County/Lake Wylie so that all can enjoy and have access to the lake! The dock will be used by the ski team during practices and shows, and when not in use, it can be used for fishing, boating, or just sitting by the water and enjoying life! Check out our photos of how a group of students from Fort Mill High School had prom on the dock!
This project was over 4 years in the making, and is a great example of our team, citizens, the city, and various water entities coming together to do great things in our community!!! The ski team will continue to raise money to pay off the remaining balance of the dock through our performances this year, and will assist with ongoing maintenance of the dock. If you are interested in donating to the Dock Fund, please contact Tammy LaValley at 803-431-3920.
We're looking for some good folks to join our team! If you are interested in joining a fun, family oriented group - come on out and join us, support our efforts, and be entertained at one of our performances! Skiers, boat drivers, safety coordinators, sound crew, seamstresses (we sew costumes!), music guru's, actors, coaches, mentors, and anyone who wants to be a part of something great is welcome!!
